Hours: 8:15am – 3:15pm | 32.5 hours per week

Working Pattern: Monday – Friday

Contract: Term Time + 1 week, including INSET days | 39 weeks per year

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated, enthusiastic and caring Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join the team at Fosse Mead Primary Academy, part of The Mead Educational Trust (TMET).

Level 2 Teaching Assistant Role:

Working alongside class teachers and support staff, you will play an important role in creating a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting teaching and learning across the classroom.

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support to children.

• Helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential.

• Supporting assessment and evidencing progress.

• Creating engaging classroom displays and learning resources.

• Accompanying children on educational visits and trips.

• Working collaboratively with teachers and colleagues to deliver excellent outcomes.

What We’re Looking For:

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience of working with children.

• A genuine commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.

• Competency in English and Maths.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• The ability to build positive relationships with children and adults.

• The confidence to work independently and use initiative.

• A professional, caring and flexible approach.

• The ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a high-pressure environment
