We are seeking a committed and compassionate Intervenor to join our specialist team. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a real and lasting difference, supporting pupils with multisensory impairment and complex needs to access communication, learning and the world around them.

You will act as the pupil’s “eyes and ears” , helping them interpret their environment, develop communication, and build independence. Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families, you will provide consistent, personalised support to meet individual needs.

Key responsibilities:

·          Provide 1:1 support for pupils with complex learning, multi sensory and physical needs

·          Deliver individualised programmes aligned to EHCP targets

·          Use specialist communication strategies (symbols, signing, objects of reference, AAC)

·          Enable access to learning, social interaction and wider school life

·          Promote independence, communication and social development

·          Provide personal care and health support

·          Work collaboratively with staff, families and professionals

·          Monitor and record pupil progress

The successful candidate will:

·          Be patient, resilient and nurturing

·          Work independently and as part of a team

·          Hold a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent)

·          Have GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above)

·          Have experience working with children/young people (SEND desirable)

·          Be willing to undertake specialist training

Experience working with pupils with SLD, PMLD, complex needs or sensory impairment is desirable but not essential.  Full training and professional development will be provided.
