Receptionist
Details: Permanent, Part Time, Term Time
Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: Grade 3, Points 5-6 (Actual Salary £14,878)
FTE £25,783 - £26,193
25 hours per week for 38 weeks per year plus 3 Professional Learning Days.
Monday to Friday 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm
We are looking for a self motivated and proactive individual who can communicate with students, staff, and parents in a positive and supportive manner.
In this busy office environment, you will play an important role in providing a high quality, professional service to students, visitors, parents, and external agencies.
Main duties and responsibilities.
• Deliver a welcoming, high-quality reception service, greeting and assisting parents, visitors, and external professionals with warmth and professionalism.
• Manage face-to-face enquiries and telephone conversations confidently, ensuring everyone feels supported and well-informed.
• Ensure all visitors are warmly welcomed, signed in safely, and directed to the appropriate person or area.
• Handle incoming calls efficiently, recording accurate messages and passing information on promptly.
• Prioritise urgent enquiries and respond to all communication in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Maintain a calm, organised, and friendly reception environment that supports the smooth running of the office.
• Support team operations during colleague absences to maintain continuity and ensure deadlines are met.
